Wristband Playbook
The short version: this app collects nothing, sends nothing, and has no server to send anything to.
Wristband Playbook does not collect any data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising identifier, no crash-reporting service and no network request of any kind. Your plays, cards, practice plans and game logs are stored only on your own device.
This policy applies to the iOS and iPadOS app Wristband Playbook, a play designer for flag football coaches. It covers the app only. It does not cover anything you do after you export an image and hand it to another app.
Nothing. There is no sign-up, no login, no email field, no contact form inside the app and no identifier of any kind transmitted anywhere.
For the App Store privacy label, every category is answered Data Not Collected.
Concretely, the app does not collect or transmit: name, email address, phone number, postal address, contacts, precise or coarse location, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, usage or interaction analytics, diagnostics or crash logs, purchase history, browsing history, health data, financial data, or any content you create.
Everything the app remembers is written into the app's own container on your device. None of it is uploaded, backed up to our servers (there are none), or shared with anyone.
| What | Where it is kept | Leaves your device? |
|---|---|---|
| Plays, formations, routes you draw | A JSON file in the app's Application Support folder | No |
| Wristband cards and call sheets | Same JSON file | No |
| Practice sessions and drill plans | Same JSON file | No |
| Season games, scores and logged calls | Same JSON file | No |
| Team name and season label you type | Same JSON file | No |
| Photos you take or pick to trace over | A JPEG in the app's own media folder | No |
| Settings (appearance, haptics, sound, field style, reminder lead time) | iOS UserDefaults | No |
| Practice and game-day reminders | Scheduled locally by iOS on your device | No |
If your device has iCloud Backup switched on, iOS may include the app's container in your own encrypted Apple backup. That is a function of your device and your Apple Account, not something this app requests or can read.
Used for one thing: photographing a whiteboard, clipboard or sheet of paper that a play is already drawn on, so you can trace it into a clean diagram. The prompt appears only when you tap Trace → Take a photo inside the play designer. The captured image is written to the app's own folder and displayed underneath the field canvas. It is never uploaded. You can remove it at any time from the play's menu, and it is deleted when the play is deleted.
Used so you can pick a picture of a play you already took instead of taking a new one. The app reads only the single image you select through Apple's standard photo picker. It does not enumerate, index or scan your library.
Requested only if you choose “Save Image” in the system share sheet after exporting a wristband card, call sheet or play diagram. The saving is performed by iOS, at your request.
Used only for reminders you switch on yourself before a practice session or a game. These are local notifications scheduled on your device by iOS. There are no push notifications, no notification server and no remote content. The permission prompt appears the first time you enable a reminder, never at launch. Turning every reminder off, or denying the permission, changes nothing else in the app.
The app makes no network requests. It contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter, no AI or cloud service, no payment processor and no authentication provider. It functions identically in airplane mode, which is intentional — most fields have no usable signal.
There are none. No data is sold, shared, rented or disclosed to anybody, because no data is gathered in the first place. The app uses only Apple's own frameworks (SwiftUI, UIKit, UserNotifications, PhotosUI). No third-party SDK is bundled.
The app does not track you across apps or websites and does not use the App Tracking Transparency framework, because there is nothing to track. Its privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking as false with no tracking domains.
Wristband Playbook is a coaching tool intended for adults who coach youth teams. It is not directed at children, contains no advertising, no third-party content, no chat, no user-to-user features and no external links out to the web. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either. It complies with COPPA by design.
Regulations such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR and the CCPA give you rights over personal data held about you — access, correction, deletion, portability, and the right to object. Those rights are satisfied trivially here: we hold no personal data about you at all, so there is nothing to disclose, correct, export or erase on our side.
The content you create is yours and stays on your device. You can delete all of it at any time using Settings → Reset everything inside the app, or by deleting the app, which removes its entire container including any traced photos.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. Data you create is retained on your device for exactly as long as you keep it there.
If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, the policy will be updated here and the effective date at the top will change. Since the app has no network access, no change can be applied retroactively to data already on your device.
Questions about this policy or about the app can be sent to [email protected]. We aim to reply within three business days.
